The Empowerment of the Vaginismus MD Forum and Finding Inspiration through Music
The Vaginismus MD Forum empowers our patients who are going to receive the Botox treatment for vaginismus. The Forum also empowers our patients who have been treated and are transitioning to intercourse. The Vaginismus MD Forum also empowers women who have been struggling with vaginismus for years by giving them a voice and hope that there can be a cure for this condition.
“Empower: To give ability to; enable or permit”
The Vaginismus MD Forum is truly a vehicle that EMPOWERS women suffering from vaginismus. I encourage every woman who contacts us about our Botox treatment and progressive dilation for vaginismus to join the Vaginismus MD Forum and to read as many posts as possible.
“Finding Inspiration through Music”
The following Vaginismus MD Forum posting has developed into a wonderful thread of songs (a/k/a “war cries”) that will EMPOWER women in their journey of overcoming vaginismus. (To view the song in YouTube, please click the link on the title of the song or the image representing the song.)
“ROAR” by Katy Perry
[Notes: Thank you ladies for giving of your own time to encourage me – I so need it! Today is a good day – I feel calm and brave ;-) And on the way to work, I turned up the radio crazy loud and sang “Roar” by Katy Perry (my own personal war cry against Vaginismus!)]
“Alone Anymore” by Kazia Gray
[Notes from Dr. Pacik: I would like to remind new readers of Rachel’s song that is dedicated to women struggling with vaginismus. It touches me every time I listen to it.”
“Brave” by Sara Bareilles
[Notes: I think this particular song speaks to facing the “scary unknown” and speaking up instead of holding everything in. I never spoke to anyone about my vaginismus and I was terrified at the time to face it head on. Despite this real fear, I finally decided to speak up, had the procedure, and I am now living vaginismus-free. It certainly took bravery but it was so worth it!!!!]
“Overcomer” by Mandisa
[Notes: Music is such a blessing! There are so many talented song-writers and artists – feels like God is personally talking to me through music.]
“Voice of Truth” by Casting Crowns
[Notes: this song means so much to me because it talks a lot about courage and tuning out all the negative voices in your head – something I definitely struggle with]

The Empowerment of the Vaginismus MD Forum and Finding Inspiration through Music
Whether painful or impossible intercourse was recently discovered, or like Heather who struggled for 15 years and Nakitalab who struggled for 31 years, both were able to achieve their goals. There is a common thread of feeling like a “freak” and that you are the only one suffering from this condition. Who do you speak to about this? Do you open up to friends and family? When are you going to start a family? These are all the emotions that tear at us day in and day out. Yet it is not necessary to travel this path alone.
It is my sincere hope that these songs (a/k/a personal “war cries” against vaginismus) touch you in some way. Please remember that you are not alone and that there are many who will support you both on the Vaginismus MD Forum and myself personally with emails and phone calls.
